Prayer was something that Jesus did often, and the thing that His disciples asked to be taught (Luke ). Prayer can be private or public, but the focus in this discipleship class is private prayer because proper public prayer can only come from a healthy private prayer life. What is prayer? Prayer is simply talking to God. Discipleship is a way of being in the world that affects every relationship. Disciples shape one another according to the action of the Spirit in their lives. The energy of the disciples flows from faith in what is unseen yet believed.
